Sittingbourne and Sheppey has had more than its fair share of housing.
Aisha will press Swale Borough Council to complete a local plan, which will protect our area against unsustainable development, deliver crucial infrastructure and grow local employment.
Aisha is against Labour’s proposal to re-introduce mandatory housing targets and supports the Conservative policy to make them advisory with local people having a say on where housing should be placed.
Aisha has experience working in social housing and, if elected, will support Swale Borough Council to ensure that the new affordable homes already approved by the council, go to local people rather than London councils. She is an advocate of Key Worker Housing for nurses, police officers, prison officers, teachers and other essential service workers.
